About The Range
Outdoor Rifle & Pistol Range:
The rifle range consists of three separate backstops at distances of 25, 50 and 100 yards. The firing line on the 25 yard range is covered and there are concrete pads on the 50 and 100 yard ranges. There are several shooting benches on all firing lines. Range access is restricted to only members and their two guests. A port a john is now available for use at the pistol rifle range. Indoor bathrooms are always accessible at the Event Hall.
Indoor Rifle & Pistol Range:
A 50 ft. indoor range for .22 caliber use is available to the rifle and pistol teams as well as the plinkers club. The teams compete during the fall and winter months in the Central Michigan Rifle and Pistol Leagues. The plinkers meet on Wednesday afternoons.
Outdoor Archery:
The archery club offers three outdoor shooting ranges: practice bag targets from 10 - 50 yards, a field/hunter course, and a 30 target 3-D course. The 3-D course is set in the spring (weather dependent) and taken down in mid-September.
Indoor Archery:
The indoor archery range is open to members only who purchase a key to the building. These members have access to the facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The archery club hosts leagues open to the public during the fall and winter months. They also compete in the Saginaw Valley Archery Association.
Shotgun Range:
The shotgun range offers trap, wobble trap, two skeet fields, 5-stand, and a 16 station sporting clays course. Four targets per station are available. A and B are Beginner to Intermediate level targets. C and D targets are set at Tournament difficulty.
Four rental golf carts are available for access to the sporting clays course.
Club/Gold Card for Sporting Clays, Skeet, Trap, Wobble Trap and 5-stand!
We switched to a card system for all shotgun ranges. This is like a debit card.
Members will purchase an electronic gold card for $15 (which you will keep) and pre-load it before shooting. We are selling the birds to members at $.40 per bird for sporting clays and $.24 per bird for skeet, trap and wobble trap with a $100 minimum. There is no expiration on the card. Shotgun sports cannot be shot without an electronic card.
Gold Card purchase and reloading Gold Cards will only be available during normal operating hours on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
